Bostin’ Days is a Levellers tribute album featuring tracks by over 30 artists to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance.
The story behind the album
The Levellers host their annual music festival, Beautiful Days, in August at Escot Park near Exeter.
Levellers fans and many others flock to the festival each year for its wonderful family friendly and non-commercial atmosphere, and consistently fantastic musical line-up.
In 2014, an accident occurred on the final day of the festival while some structures on the site were being dismantled. The Devon Air Ambulance sent its helicopters to airlift the two injured people to hospital.
Members of the Beautiful Days Chat Facebook group were very grateful for the help of the service, and wanted to do something in return.
The Bostin’ Days album was conceived by Addie Burns as great way to raise much needed funds for the service, which is a registered charity and relies on donations to function. All profits from sales of the album go to the service, helping them continue their mission of relieving sickness and injury around the county of Devon through the provision of an emergency air ambulance service.
